It’s FINALS time for your Wheelchair Storm Teams

In a history making season, the Blacktown Storm - in partnership with Blues Wheelchair Basketball Club - have two teams in the finals series for the 2026 GTK Waratah Wheelchair League, powered by Wilson. We hope to see as many Storm supporters as possible in the stands of the Snakepit Stadium, Illawarra’s home stadium, on Saturday 23rd May! The finals schedule is as follows:

  • Blacktown Storm - Division 2 Semi Final - 10:45AM vs Central Coast Waves

  • Blacktown Storm - Division 1 Semi Final - 12:00PM vs Illawarra Hawks

If Storm secure the win, both Grand Finals will follow on the same day:

  • Division 2 Grand Final - 1PM

  • Division 1 Grand Final - 2:30PM

Coach of the Division 2 team, Leaf Newman, added, “The teams are so excited to play! From newcomers to vets, wheelchair basketball is so exciting, and we hope to bring another banner home this season!”
