All the ways you can get involved with CBBA is happening in April. We have an array of courses, events and workshops in the coming weeks to keep your basketball calendar full during the game break.

  • Saturday 19th of April - Club Coaching Course

    • Hosted by Jarrod Moore (BNSW Coach Development Manager), this course aims to further your knowledge and develop your skills on basketball coaching. After the completion of this one-day course, participants will earn a Club Coach Qualification allowing for Coaching for the CBBA U16/18 Local Leagues and Blacktown Storm.

    • 9am to 3pm at Kevin Betts Stadium, Mt Druitt

  • Tuesday 22nd of April - Assist All Hoops - Come N Try Session

    • We are proud to be partnering with Basketball NSW and introducing a new Learn to Play program catered for participants with intellectual impairments. This program aims to introduce basketball drills to familiarise participants with the skills used in basketball. This sessions will give athletes a taste of the new 8-week program starting in Term 2.

  • Wednesday 23rd of April - Level 1 Scorebench Course

    • Hosted by Heidi Wong (CBBA Scorebench Coordinator), participants will learn how to operate all roles required on a basketball scorebench. After the completion of the two-hour course, participants will be qualified with a Level 1 Scoretable Accreditation allowing for benching at Waratah Senior League games.

    • 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Kevin Betts Stadium, Mt Druitt

    • $45 registration fee per person

  • Saturday 26th of April - Referee Development Course

    • Facilitated by Adam McIntyre (CBBA Referee Development Officer), for Community Level Referees looking to level up, this course will run through training drills to develop their referee knowledge.

    • 10am to 11am at Kevin Betts Stadium, Mt Druitt

    • $10 registration fee per person

  • Starting from Monday 28th of April - Storm High Performance Program

    • We are excited about our new Blacktown Storm High Performance Program (formally known as Storm Academy). This program is catered for basketball athletes looking to develop their game and prepare themselves for 2026 representative trials. There will be 10 sessions where participants have the opportunity to train alongside Storm athletes and with Storm coaches.

    • Girls Program

      • Mondays starting 28th of April 6pm to 7pm at Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre, Emerton

      • $100 registration fee per person

    • Boys Program

      • Wednesdays starting 30th of April 7pm to 9pm at Kevin Betts Stadium, Mt Druitt
