CBBA Coaches continue to upskill at the BA National Coaches Conference

The beginning of June saw an incredible learning opportunity for many coaches across Australia as Basketball Australia hosted their annual National Coaches Conference at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. City of Blacktown Basketball Association (CBBA) had four representatives across the two-day conference, with Ramil Suarez, Brad McGuiness, Jon Walsh, and Chris Davidson making the trek down south.

We asked the coaches their thoughts, and our HP Coach Ramil Suarez said:

It (was very) insightful… I’ve learned a lot of great nuggets of wisdom from national coaches. It covered an overall dimension of player development through to player evaluation and scouting.” He also shared excitement with new ideas that can be introduced across the representative program here with the Blacktown Storm and wanted to share his recommendation to our entire community of coaches: “I totally recommend this conference for any of our coaches in our program to enhance their knowledge and networking with other coaches in the country”.

CBBA is proud to grow our coaching program across the community, with a strengthening pathway from participation (Aussie Hoops, Assist All Hoops) to grassroots and into the representative program.
